The first thing that stands out to players when they look up map size is how much larger the Assassin's Creed Odyssey map is compared to the Skyrim map. The willingness to go more fantastical leads to players getting to fight gigantic boars, stag deer, and bears I've not got too far into Odyssey yet but so far it appears the map is much bigger but perhaps feels a bit less rich in terms of content not surprising considering how much sea there is! Assassin's Creed Odyssey may be extremely big and unprecedentedly beautiful, but it was made almost ten years after Skyrim , doesn't have as many locations, feels smaller than it is due to the speed at which characters can travel on foot, and is mainly comprised of water. Some would argue that Assassin's Creed Odyssey isn't really as big as it boasts due to most of the map being water, but the truth is, a lot happens in that water. Both games have large maps and have a lot of quality that go into them, but here are the differences Skyrim and Assassin's Creed Odyssey have when it comes to their maps.
